Why we would give a ride
The best thing we saw this year was a kid’s third lap.
In May we hosted the first FRP Rider Series in Houston: 72 riders and their families in a parking lot in Stafford. In August we did it again in Colorado Springs. Both days had the same moment, over and over: a kid on an MB40 or a Sahara 40, a parent walking alongside for the first lap, jogging for the second, and standing back for the third. The kid was not looking at the ground any more.
That is what a first ride gives someone. Candy is gone in three days and a plastic toy is in a drawer by Thanksgiving. A bike is something they have to be a little brave to use, and it is still in the garage next spring. That is why this is a gift and not a purchase.

Wrap the helmet, not the bike. Assemble the night before with the manual and the First Ride Kit video, and keep the first ride short.

Every FRP bike and ATV is EPA-certified for off-road use on private property or designated riding areas. Not street legal. Gas models are not available in California. Helmet, protective gear and adult supervision for young riders are required.
