Fuel & Maintenance
Do these kids ATVs need messy gas and oil mixing?
No, absolutely not. Both FA40-NEO and Sahara 40 are powered by premium 4-stroke engines. You just fill them up with standard 87 octane pump gas, exactly like your family car. Say goodbye to messy mixing cans, stinky black smoke, and clogged carburetors.
Do they come fully assembled? I’m not a mechanic.
Don’t worry, they are 85% pre-assembled in the box. All you need to do is spend about 20 minutes tightening the handlebars and wheels with the included simple tools, add gas/oil, and pull to start. No advanced garage skills required.
Safety & Neighborhood
How fast does a 40cc kids ATV go? Is it too fast for beginners?
Out of the box, our 40cc ATVs can hit a thrilling 13–18 mph. However, parents can use the built-in speed limiter screw to lock it down to a safe walking pace — the FA40-NEO is adjustable across the full 0–13 mph range. You can walk right beside your kid during their first ride and open up the speed week by week as they grow.
What is the safest gas 4-wheeler for a 6-year-old first-timer?
We highly recommend the FA40-NEO. It comes with an upgraded safety wrist tether kill switch — if your kid slips or lets go of the handlebars, the engine shuts off instantly. Plus, its parent-adjustable 0–13 mph limiter can be set right down to a walking pace.
Will this loud engine ruin my relationship with the neighbors or tear up my lawn?
Not at all. Our 4-stroke engines are engineered to be as quiet as a standard lawnmower, far quieter than high-pitched 2-stroke weedeaters. The power delivery is smooth and linear, meaning it will cruise over your backyard grass without spinning the tires and tearing up the lawn.
Are these kids ATVs street legal? Do I need a license?
No, these are off-road youth recreational vehicles meant for backyards, private farmlands, and designated dirt trails. They are not street legal and do not require a driver’s license or title registration. They are designed for pure, safe off-road family fun.
Investment & Resale
Is a 40cc ATV worth the money? What if my kid outgrows it next year?
These quads carry a hefty 143 lbs max weight limit, built for riders 6 and above. If you want more room for growth, pick the Sahara 40 (unlocks up to 18 mph). Best of all, FRP is a highly recognized US brand — when your kid outgrows it, you can easily resell it on Facebook Marketplace for hundreds of dollars.
