If the occasion is October 31, black or red is the color, the helmet is the wrapped gift, and the bike is in the garage. Halloween 2026 is a Saturday: assemble Friday, ride Saturday morning before the kids’ parties start. Parcel-shipped mini bikes ordered by October 16 make it; the FX140 ships by freight and needs an order by October 6. More on the Halloween gift guide.
Storage, upkeep and the honest bits
- A GMB100P weighs 84 lb and either mini bike fits in a truck bed or a corner of the garage. The FX140 is 161 lb and wants a ramp.
- Four-stroke engines: 87-octane pump gas, no oil mixing, 0.35 L of 15W-40 in the mini bikes. Check the oil before every ride.
- Tire pressure 10 psi cold on the GMB100P, chain slack about half an inch. The manual covers the rest; the First Ride Kit shows it on video.
- Off-road only. Private property, campgrounds and designated riding areas. Not street legal, not sold in California for gas models.
