Yes, with proper supervision and gear. The Sahara 40 includes a heat protector to shield riders' legs from the exhaust, an adjustable speed limiter, and an emergency kill switch. The ATV Safety Institute recommends all youth ATV riders ages 6–11 use ATVs with engine sizes of 70cc or less — the Sahara 40 at 40cc falls well within this guideline.
