How fast does the FRP FX140 go?
65 mph top speed, with up to ~155 miles per 1.4-gallon tank. Real-world speed depends on rider weight, terrain, and gearing.
Who is the FX140 for, and what age?
Teens and adults — bigger or more experienced riders, up to a 265 lb max load. If you’re new to off-road, start on a smaller bike like the FX125 or FX40 first.
What is the weight limit on the FX140 — how much weight can it hold?
The FX140 supports a 265 lb maximum rider load. The bike itself weighs about 174 lb.
Is the FX140 a pit bike or a dirt bike?
Both names get used — it’s a full off-road dirt bike, often called a 140 pit bike. It runs an oil-cooled 140cc engine with a 4-speed manual transmission.
Is the 4-speed manual hard to ride?
It’s a 4-speed manual with a clutch. It’s a new skill if you’re coming off a no-clutch bike like the FX40, but most riders pick up the basics in an afternoon on flat ground.
Can I ride the FX140 on the street?
No. It’s EPA off-road only — built for trails, private property, farms, and open land. It is not street legal.
Is the FX140 available in California?
No — the FX140 is not sold or shipped to California (Prop 65).
What brakes, suspension, and starting does the FX140 have?
Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, long-travel suspension, and electric start with a kick-start backup. It runs on regular gas with no oil mixing.
How much assembly does the FX140 need?
It ships mostly built — about 30–45 minutes with the included tools. Setup videos are in Service Videos & Tutorials.
What’s the warranty, shipping, and what’s in the box?
A 1-year limited warranty. Ships within 24 hours via FedEx (not to California, U.S. protectorates, or overseas). The box includes the First Ride Kit: gloves, goggles, anti-fog spray, backpack, hydration bladder, tools, and the manual.
