Dirt Bike Warranty & Returns

Last updated: July 24, 2026

At FRP, we stand behind every dirt bike we ship. This policy is designed to give riders confidence while keeping the service process clear, fair, and efficient.

This policy applies to dirt bikes purchased from FRP official sales channels (independent website). For purchases made through third-party marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, etc.), the applicable marketplace rules may also apply. If marketplace rules conflict with this policy, marketplace rules may take precedence where required.

Please read the full policy below before placing your order.

Service Summary

01Order Cancellation Rules

Because dirt bikes ship via LTL freight, cancellations and returns are handled differently depending on where the shipment is in the delivery process.

This section covers three scenarios:

(1) cancelling before shipment;
(2) cancelling after shipment but before the customer takes delivery (via carrier interception).
(3) If you have already received the bike and want to return it, please see Section 3 (30-Day Return Window) instead.

Please note that because LTL freight involves scheduled pickups and longer transit times, cancellations, interceptions, and returns handled under this policy may take longer to complete than standard small-parcel shipments. We appreciate your patience throughout the process.

1.1 Before Shipment

You may cancel your order free of charge before a tracking number is generated / before LTL freight pickup is scheduled.

A full refund will be issued to your original payment method.

1.2 After Shipment, Before Delivery (Carrier Interception / Refused Delivery)

Once the order has shipped via LTL freight, it can no longer be cancelled directly.

If you need to cancel after shipment, please contact FRP immediately. We will attempt a carrier interception request when possible. Successful interception cannot be guaranteed.

If the carrier interception is successful (i.e., the bike is intercepted and never delivered to the customer), and the cancellation is requested for a customer-related reason (e.g., changing your mind, ordering by mistake, no longer wanting the product), FRP will deduct the applicable return shipping fee (see 3.1) from the refund, since real freight costs were already incurred even though delivery never completed. The 15% restocking fee does not apply to this scenario.

If the cancellation or interception is caused by an FRP error, shipping damage, or a confirmed product quality issue, FRP will cover the applicable shipping costs.

If interception fails and the package is delivered, please refer to Section 3 (30-Day Return Window) to request a return.

If you refuse delivery at the time the carrier attempts delivery (i.e., you never take possession of the bike), this is treated the same as a successful interception: FRP will deduct the applicable return shipping fee (see 3.1) from the refund, with no restocking fee, once the bike is returned to our warehouse and inspected.

1.3 After Delivery

Once you have taken delivery of the bike (i.e., signed for and accepted the shipment), the order can no longer be cancelled. Any request to send the bike back at this point — regardless of the reason — is treated as a return under Section 3 (30-Day Return Window), not as a cancellation, and is subject to the return conditions, evidence requirements, and applicable fees described there.

0230-Day Arrival Care

FRP provides one-time Arrival Care support within 30 days from the delivery date.

This service is designed to help customers resolve minor issues caused during LTL shipping or crating, such as:

  • missing screws, bolts, or small hardware
  • missing small tools or accessories
  • minor scratches caused during shipping
  • loosened small parts or fasteners
  • other small accessory issues confirmed by FRP

For eligible Arrival Care cases, FRP will provide the required small parts and standard shipping free of charge, at no cost and with no limit on the number of requests, provided each request includes the required order information and photo/video evidence and passes manual review.

Arrival Care does not cover the engine, frame, suspension, electrical system, or other major/core components. Issues involving these parts must go through the standard warranty review process (Section 4).

0330-Day Return Window

This section includes the return conditions, evidence requirements, return process, deduction rules, and abuse-prevention rules for returns within the 30-day return window.

3.1 Return Window and Return Types

You may request a return within 30 days from the delivery date.

Return requests are divided into two categories:

Return Type Shipping Cost Responsibility Notes
Confirmed Product Quality Issue FRP covers return shipping; FRP prioritizes sending replacement parts (no full-unit exchange) Must be reviewed and confirmed by FRP
Non-Quality Return / Change of Mind Return shipping fee deducted based on model (FX125: $299.99, FX140: $399.99), plus 15% restocking fee Fee reflects actual LTL freight pickup cost; additional deductions may apply for missing/damaged parts, abnormal wear, modification, or improper packaging

Note: On Amazon, the restocking fee portion follows Amazon's official reimbursement schedule rather than a flat 15% (see the separate Amazon Return Policy document). The independent website uses the flat 15% shown above.

3.2 Return Conditions

Return Scenario Conditions Refund Rule
Change of Mind – Unopened/Unassembled Product must be unopened, unassembled, and returned in original packaging Refund minus return shipping fee (by model) and 15% restocking fee
Change of Mind – Opened/Assembled Product must meet all opened-product return conditions below Refund minus return shipping fee (by model), 15% restocking fee, plus any applicable deductions
Confirmed Quality Issue Must be confirmed by FRP as a non-human-caused product quality issue FRP prioritizes replacement parts; if unresolved, refund or partial refund by agreement

For opened/assembled products, all of the following conditions must be met:

  1. The product must be returned with all original accessories, tools, and documentation.
  2. The product must have no unauthorized modifications.
  3. The product must have no damage caused by improper use, misuse, accident, or negligence.
  4. The product must have no signs of abnormal wear or use beyond assembly/inspection.
  5. The customer must submit all required photos/videos and order information through the return request process.

Packaging responsibility: FRP does not provide replacement packaging materials (boxes, crates, or pallets) for returns. Customers are responsible for retaining the original packaging and using it to repack the product for return shipment. Returns that cannot be properly repacked due to missing or discarded original packaging may be subject to additional deductions (see 3.5) or, in cases where the product cannot be safely shipped, may be ineligible for return.

3.3 Required Return Evidence

To start a return request, the customer must contact FRP support and provide:

  1. order number or return request number;
  2. frame number / VIN, clearly visible in at least one photo;
  3. photos and/or videos showing the current product condition, including:
    • the overall bike from the front, rear, and both sides;
    • the original packaging condition (if retained);
    • close-up photos of any missing, damaged, or loose parts specific to the return reason;
  4. a brief description of the return reason.

This evidence is limited to photos/videos of the current condition and does not require a full walkaround video or a packing/sealing video. FRP may request additional photos or information if the submitted evidence is unclear or insufficient to evaluate the return.

A return request will only enter the review process after the required information has been submitted.

3.4 Return Process

  1. Submit Request: Contact FRP customer support with the order number, frame number/VIN, return reason, and supporting photos/videos.
  2. FRP Review: FRP will review the submitted information and determine eligibility and applicable deductions.
  3. Return Approval: If approved, FRP will arrange LTL pickup. For non-quality returns, the return shipping fee (by model) and 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  4. Return Shipment: Please pack the product carefully according to FRP instructions. Damage caused by improper return packaging may result in additional deductions.
  5. Warehouse Inspection: After the returned product arrives at our warehouse, FRP will inspect the item within 3–5 business days.
  6. Refund: If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of inspection completion. Actual posting time may vary depending on your bank.

If the returned product is missing parts, damaged, or does not meet the return conditions, additional deductions may apply according to the Missing/Damaged Parts Deduction Framework below (3.5).

3.5 Missing/Damaged Parts Deduction Framework

If a returned item is missing parts, damaged, or shows signs of use beyond the allowed return conditions, FRP may deduct the corresponding amount from the refund. The final deduction will be based on warehouse inspection results.

Deduction amounts for missing or damaged parts are determined based on FRP's internal cost and shipping standards for the specific part(s) involved, and are finalized following warehouse inspection.

The deduction amount for each part is available in our reference table: FRP Dirt Bike Deduction Standard.

On the independent website, this is provided as an embedded link on the relevant policy/return page. On Amazon, this is provided as a PDF attachment uploaded to the listing/policy section and sent to the customer directly when a deduction applies.

As part of the inspection process, FRP's receiving warehouse will photograph the returned item's condition. These photos support the deduction summary provided to the customer and may be shared with the customer upon request.

FRP will provide a deduction summary to the customer before the final refund is issued if any deduction applies.

If any deduction applies, FRP will send the customer an itemized breakdown of the deduction along with photos of the corresponding parts, taken during unboxing/inspection, for the customer's confirmation. If the customer does not accept the deduction and requests that the bike be shipped back instead of completing the refund (see 3.6), the customer is responsible for the shipping cost to have the bike sent back. FRP will provide a payment link for this shipping fee, and will ship the bike back only after payment is completed.

3.6 Declining a Deduction / Reversing a Return

If FRP determines that deductions apply to a returned item (see 3.5) and the customer does not accept the deduction, the customer may request that FRP ship the bike back instead of completing the refund.

In this case:

  • FRP will charge the return shipping fee already incurred to bring the bike to our warehouse (by model, see 3.1), plus a new shipping fee to redeliver the bike to the customer (same amount, by model);
  • the 15% restocking fee does not apply, since the bike is not being restocked;
  • FRP will provide a payment link for these fees, and will ship the bike back only after payment is completed, since no refund is being processed to deduct them from.

This option is only available before the return is finalized and refunded. Once a refund has been issued, the return cannot be reversed.

3.7 Abuse of Return Policy

FRP reserves the right to review and limit return or service requests that show signs of abnormal or abusive behavior, including but not limited to:

  1. repeated non-quality returns from the same customer, account, address, payment method, or household;
  2. repeated purchases followed by return requests after short-term use;
  3. inconsistent, incomplete, or suspicious return evidence;
  4. suspected misuse of the product before return;
  5. suspected abuse of Arrival Care, warranty service, or return policy benefits;
  6. refusal to provide required photos, videos, or information.

In such cases, FRP may, to the extent permitted by applicable law and marketplace rules, refuse a non-quality return, deny free/discounted return shipping, limit future service benefits, cancel suspicious orders, or require additional verification before providing service.

This clause does not limit a customer's rights for confirmed product quality issues. If a product issue is confirmed by FRP as a non-human-caused quality defect, FRP will handle the case according to the applicable warranty policy.

04Warranty Policy

This section includes all limited warranty terms, coverage, evidence requirements, warranty process, service method, exclusions, and support available after the warranty period.

4.1 Warranty Start Date

The warranty period begins on the date the customer signs for / receives the product (delivery date).

4.2 Warranty Transfer

The warranty may be transferred to a new owner for the remaining warranty period only. The warranty period does not restart after resale.

To activate transferred warranty coverage, the new owner must provide:

  • the original order number and original purchaser's purchase information;
  • the frame number / VIN;
  • any additional proof required by FRP.

4.3 Warranty Coverage

Component Category Coverage Period Coverage Details
Core Components (engine assembly, frame, suspension, electrical system, battery) 1 year from delivery date Covered for confirmed non-human-caused defects. Note: battery damage caused by over-discharge or improper storage/maintenance (e.g., not maintained over winter) is not covered — see 4.7
Wear Parts & Excluded Components (tires, brake pads/cables, chain/sprocket, spark plug, air/oil filters, grips, seat cover, bulbs, belts, seals, gearbox/transmission, etc.) Not covered Considered normal wear and tear or excluded component, per industry standard practice
Lifetime Technical Support Lifetime FRP provides technical guidance and replacement part recommendations

4.4 How Warranty Service Is Provided

FRP will first provide remote technical diagnosis based on the photos, videos, and information submitted by the customer.

For covered warranty issues, FRP will:

  • provide troubleshooting guidance and repair instructions;
  • provide free replacement parts, shipped at no cost;
  • prioritize replacement parts over exchange or refund.

FRP does not provide on-site or in-person repair service. FRP does not cover third-party repair labor, on-site service fees, customer-arranged repair labor, or any service fees charged by local repair shops.

4.5 Customer-Replaceable Parts Safety Notice

Many replacement parts may be installed by the customer with FRP's guidance, depending on the issue and the part involved.

Before inspecting, removing, or replacing any part, the customer must:

  1. turn off the engine and remove the ignition key (if applicable);
  2. ensure the bike is on a stable stand/surface;
  3. allow the engine and exhaust to cool before handling;
  4. follow FRP's written or video instructions carefully.

Customers must not attempt to open, repair, modify, or disassemble the engine internals, electrical wiring harness, or other major components unless specifically instructed by FRP.

If FRP determines that a repair may involve safety risks or is not suitable for customer self-repair, FRP may provide an alternative service solution.

4.6 Warranty Process

  1. Contact FRP customer support.
  2. Submit the warranty request with: order number, purchase information, frame number/VIN, and clear photos or videos of the issue.
  3. Work with FRP's technical team for remote diagnosis.
  4. If the issue is confirmed as covered under warranty, FRP will arrange replacement parts.

FRP may reject warranty coverage if the customer refuses to provide required evidence or does not cooperate with the diagnostic process.

4.7 Intended Use and Warranty Exclusions

FRP dirt bikes are designed and intended for recreational off-road riding, including normal jumps, motocross-style riding, and casual racing consistent with how the product is marketed and demonstrated (e.g., in FRP's promotional videos and platform listings). This intended use is not considered misuse and does not, on its own, void the warranty.

The following are not covered under this warranty:

  1. Commercial or Professional Use: Including rental, delivery, professional or sanctioned competitive racing, commercial racing teams, professional stunt performances, or other commercial applications.
  2. Accidents, Extreme Misuse, or Negligence: Including crashes, overloading beyond rated capacity, or use significantly beyond the recreational off-road riding described above (e.g., extreme jumps or stunts beyond the bike's designed capability).
  3. Improper Assembly, Storage, or Maintenance: Including failure to follow the user manual, improper fuel/oil use, improper storage, lack of routine maintenance, or incorrect installation.
  4. Unauthorized Modifications: Including engine modification, frame modification, wiring changes, or installation of non-approved parts.
  5. Water, Moisture, or Chemical Damage: Including exposure to flooding, prolonged moisture, or corrosive environments.
  6. Normal Wear and Tear: Including tires, brake pads, chains, grips, cosmetic scratches, and paint wear.
  7. Consumable or Wear-Prone Parts: Not covered under the 1-year warranty unless confirmed by FRP as a manufacturing defect at the time of delivery.
  8. Gearbox / Transmission: Not covered under the 1-year core component warranty (see 4.3).
  9. Battery Damage from Over-Discharge or Improper Storage: The battery is covered under the 1-year warranty for confirmed manufacturing defects. Battery failure caused by over-discharge, extended storage without maintenance charging, or normal capacity degradation over time is considered improper maintenance/normal wear and is not covered.
  10. Theft or Loss: Stolen or lost products are not covered.
  11. Frame Number / VIN Tampering: Products with removed, altered, damaged, or unreadable frame numbers/VINs are not covered.
  12. Force Majeure: Including natural disasters, fire, flooding, external impact, or other events beyond FRP's control.

4.8 Support Beyond the Warranty Period

Even after the warranty period has expired, FRP continues to provide lifetime technical support.

Customers may contact FRP with photos or videos of the issue, and our team will help identify the possible cause and recommend suitable replacement parts.

Replacement parts and shipping costs after the warranty period are the customer's responsibility.

05Shipping Damage

Before you sign for delivery: LTL freight deliveries require a signed delivery receipt (Bill of Lading / Proof of Delivery). Please inspect the crate and product in person at the time of delivery. If you notice any visible damage, dents, crush marks, or a mismatched item count, you must require the driver to note the damage/exception directly on the delivery receipt before you sign, and take a photo of the annotated receipt. A delivery receipt signed as "clear" (with no noted exceptions) may make it very difficult to support a damage claim afterward, since carriers and industry practice generally presume the shipment was delivered in good condition unless exceptions are noted at the time of signing.

If your product is damaged during shipping, please contact FRP within 48 hours from the delivery date.

You must provide:

  • photos or videos of the outer packaging/crate;
  • photos or videos of the damaged product;
  • a photo of the signed delivery receipt (Bill of Lading / Proof of Delivery), including any noted damage exceptions, if available;
  • order number;
  • delivery date.

Shipping damage claims submitted after 48 hours may be considered damage caused after delivery and may no longer be accepted as a shipping damage claim.

For confirmed shipping damage, FRP will not charge a restocking fee, will cover return shipping costs, and will prioritize sending replacement parts (see Section 2 and 3.1).
